MUSICIANS INSTITUTE COLLEGE OF CONTEMPORARY MUSIC HOLDS MUSIC PRODUCTION WORKSHOPS AT COMIC-CON INTERNATIONAL
Musicians Institute College of Contemporary Music (MI) announced today that it has partnered with renowned publisher Future US to offer a series of exclusive Music Production Workshops at San Diego’s Comic-Con International 2010.

Los Angeles, California. (July 21, 2010) — Musicians Institute College of Contemporary Music (MI) announced today that it has partnered with renowned publisher Future US to offer a series of exclusive Music Production Workshops at San Diego’s Comic-Con International 2010.  MI acclaimed Audio Engineering Instructor Shaun Youth will break down the basics of mixing beats with the latest software. The 30-minute workshop sessions are scheduled to take place at noon and 5:45 PM July 22-24 and at noon on July 25 at Booth 4445 at the San Diego Convention Center.

These exciting Music Production Workshops with Shaun Youth give Comic-Con patrons a glimpse into the dynamic world of music production, and display the newest and most innovative technologies and techniques.  Covering topics that range from film scoring to producing scores for video games, workshops will bring together professionals from MI and Future US, who will share insight, knowledge, and secrets gained during their extensive work in the world of music production.

For this unique endeavor, MI has partnered with long-time affiliate Future US, a leading publisher of special-interest magazines and digital properties.  With publications that include Official Xbox Magazine, Guitar World, and Maximum PC, and digital content that spans the gamut from technology to music, Future US’s resources and audience-reach form the perfect complement to MI’s innovative programs, which blend technology and production with music fundamentals.

A leader in the world of contemporary music education, MI offers professional-grade educational opportunities in subjects that include Audio Engineering and Film, as well as instrumental, business, and Independent Artist programs.  Through its offerings at Comic-Con International, as well as similar events throughout the summer and fall, MI hopes to offer its audiences a glimpse into the college’s cutting-edge technological capacities, as well as showcase its world-class faculty and talented student body.  MI will have representatives on-site at Comic-Con 2010 to provide information and answer questions about the college.
